Ready to analyze.
A master's thesis is written under time pressure, which shows in a specific way: the sections you wrote last are the ones that fall back on the phrases everyone in the programme uses. The background chapter absorbs the vocabulary of the three papers you read most recently. The conclusion restates the introduction because that is the fastest thing to write at 2am. Neither is misconduct and neither will fail you, but both are the parts an examiner skims, and skimmed sections are wasted pages in a document with a word limit. Rewriting the flagged sentences is usually two hours of work that improves the grade for reasons unrelated to detection.
The conclusion and the parts of the background that summarise rather than position. Those are where generic writing costs the most marks.
It should not — rewriting changes wording, not sources. Check that any sentence carrying a citation still makes the claim the source supports.
For a chapter, usually under an hour, because the sentences worth rewriting are a small fraction of the total.
