Abstract
Introduction. The study addresses the problem of improving the performance of a mining enterprise while simultaneously reducing environmental impact under increasing ecological constraints and resource pressure. It is shown that traditional approaches are often fragmented and do not provide a systemic balance between economic efficiency and environmental safety. The research aims to develop an integrated approach that combines technological, environmental, and managerial factors into a unified framework. Methods. The methodology is based on a combination of field monitoring, analytical processing of production data, and simulation modeling. Environmental parameters such as emissions, water quality, and dust concentration were measured using specialized equipment. Mathematical tools, including multivariate statistics and optimization methods, were applied to normalize indicators, construct integral sustainability indices, and evaluate different development scenarios. Results. The implementation of a complex of interrelated measures, including optimization of technological processes, improvement of water circulation systems, and modernization of energy flows, resulted in a significant reduction in energy consumption, emissions, and water use, while production efficiency increased. A pronounced synergistic effect was identified, where combined solutions led to accelerated improvement of key indicators. Additionally, transformation of the waste management system reduced waste accumulation and increased the share of recycled resources. Conclusions. It is concluded that a comprehensive integration of technological, organizational, and analytical solutions ensures a transition to a sustainable and environmentally balanced development model. The proposed approach enhances system stability, reduces environmental risks, and improves overall efficiency, making it applicable for long-term modernization of mining enterprises under varying external conditions.
