Exploring the University Ecosystem that Fosters Students’ Entrepreneurial Intention in Higher Education Institutions

This study investigates the entrepreneurial mindset, exploring why some individuals recognise opportunities while others do not, and how they creatively leverage resources in complex environments.It highlights that an entrepreneurial mindset evolves through environmental interactions and is vital not only for entrepreneurs but also for workforce leaders.Guided by Malaysia's Education Development Plan (2015Plan ( -2025) ) and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4 on "Quality Education," this research aims to identify university ecosystem elements that cultivate entrepreneurial mindset in graduates, facilitating business startups.The framework examines the influence of physical infrastructure, entrepreneurial education, culture, and networking as independent variables.Employing a quantitative approach, data was gathered through random sampling of UiTM students and analysed using SPSS (version 29).Findings indicate that entrepreneurship education significantly enhances entrepreneurial intention, whereas physical infrastructure, culture, and networking do not exhibit direct significant effects.The study underscores the need for policy reforms and strategic management initiatives to strengthen entrepreneurship development.
