Abstract
Digital therapeutics for insomnia, such as Somryst, SHUTi, CBT-I, Sleepio, and Sleep Cycle, have become increasingly popular in recent years. These digital programs and apps aim to provide personalized insights and recommendations to help improve sleep habits, track sleep patterns, and identify factors that may be affecting sleep. These softwares are more accessible and affordable than traditional one to one therapy for insomnia and can be used at any time and from anywhere, making them convenient for people with busy schedules or who live in remote areas. However, they may not be as effective as in-person therapy for insomnia, especially for people with severe or complex sleep problems. They may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions or sleep disorders, and may not be covered by insurance, making them more expensive for some users. Additionally, they may not provide the same level of support and guidance as one to one therapy for insomnia, which can be important for some users. It is important to consider the merits and demerits of each app or program and it is advisable to seek guidance from a healthcare provider before initiating any new treatment for sleep-related issues.
