Abstract

This paper utilizes quantile-based approaches to examine the dependence and causality among trade policy uncertainty, Trump-related investor attention, WTI crude oil, oil market volatility, and clean energy prices during the Trump administration. The findings reveal that these relationships are highly asymmetric and dependent on market regimes and time horizons. These results underscore the significant influence of trade policy and investor attention on the behavior of energy markets.
