This article examines the notion of “type of life” in the work of Juan David García Bacca, proposing it as a key organizing principle of his thought. It explores how a vital structure underlies epistemological and ontological systems, linking metaphor and concept in the configuration of a pluralistic and dynamic perspective on knowledge and existence. Through a hermeneutic-historical approach, it reconstructs the relationship between life, science, and art as constitutive dimensions of the human world.
