Abstract
Abstract The adsorption of phenol and alkyl and nitro derivatives of phenol from aqueous solutions on the MeKS-O activated carbon (AC) is studied. The surface morphology of the MeKS-O AC is studied by scanning electron microscopy. The specific surface area and total pore volume of the AC are measured by low-temperature adsorption of liquid N2. The thermodynamic parameters of the adsorption of phenol and PhOH derivatives on the MeKS-O AC are calculated.
