Opomenutý zlomek staročeského Tkadlečka

The Old Czech epic Tkadleček (early 15th c.) survives in two near-complete manuscripts and one fragment (KNM 1 A c 103, TkadlC). This leaf, containing chapter 26 of the original Early New High German work Ackermann aus Böhmen (1401) and thus part of Tkadleček ch. 16, was discovered in 1956 by František Šimek and used in his 1974 edition, but remains unpublished as a full transcription. This study edits the fragment and compares terminology of liberal and forbidden arts with German Ackermann manuscripts and TkadlB. It examines the etymology and interpretation of terms such as nigromancy, ars notoria, hydromancy, and the role of jurists in the arguments of Misfortune. The comparison clarifies the manuscript stemma and confirms that TkadlB and TkadlC derive from the same lost original.
