Abstract

This surgical video demonstrates a simultaneous dual-procedure approach for the management of erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence in a single operative session. The procedure encompasses the implantation of a penile prosthesis utilizing an infrapubic surgical approach, performed concurrently with the placement of an artificial urinary sphincter. This combined technique offers the advantage of addressing both functional deficits through a single anesthetic exposure, potentially reducing overall patient morbidity and recovery time compared to staged procedures. The infrapubic approach provides excellent access for prosthetic device placement while facilitating the technical aspects of sphincter implantation. The video illustrates the surgical steps, anatomical considerations, and technical nuances involved in performing these complementary procedures simultaneously, demonstrating a comprehensive reconstructive solution for patients suffering from both erectile dysfunction and stress urinary incontinence.
