Abstract
scrapings confirmed the presence of Sarcoptes scabiei.The patient's son and maid, who served as caregivers, were prescribed prophylactic permethrin.They were advised to clean the patient's clothing and bedding.The patient's cellulitis and pneumonia were treated with intravenous piperacillin-clavulanate.
