Abstract

The configuration and electronic characteristics of hexagonal graphene have been investigated in relation to the degree of fluorine atom incorporation into the graphene layer, ranging from 0 to 100 %. A correlation has been established between the number of fluorine atoms incorporated and the lattice parameter of the carbon framework, the energy of the C-C bond, the length of the C-F bond, and the bandgap. As the number of fluorine atoms increases, the lattice parameter expands, the length of the C-F bond decreases, the energy of the C-C bond diminishes, and the bandgap increases. A clear relationship has been identified between the lattice parameter of the carbon framework and the energy of the C-C bond.
