Abstract
The history of Franco-African literature originates from the relationship between Africa and the Western civilisation from the very beginning and their attempt to overcome the bonds of oppression endured. Education has been the colonial force that allowed Africa to develop this literature along paths parallel to its own history, simultaneously enabling it to carry out its process of political detachment from the colonies. e mark of that emancipation is imprinted in the round trip walked by the children of post-colonialism, and the heartbeat of this journey towards modernity and the symbols of tradition is the rhythm that contains the soul of Véronique Tadjo and African literature.
