Cele przesiedleń w unijnych ramach przyjęć obywateli państw trzecich i bezpaństwowców – między humanitaryzmem a pragmatyzmem

On 22 May 2024, the Official Journal of the European Union published new EU regulations concerning asylum and migration. They form the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum. One of its instruments is Regulation 2024/1350 of 14 May 2024, which established an EU framework for humanitarian resettlement and reception. The article focuses on the individual dimension of resettlement and its humanitarian purpose. It covers three issues: the purpose of EU resettlement, the eligibility criteria, and the grounds for refusal. The analysis of the issues aims to determine whether the EU resettlement model aligns with the humanitarian purpose of resettlement or whether it has an autonomous purpose, focusing on reducing refugee pressure on EU Member States.
