Abstract

Abstract: Work engagement is widely regarded as one of the primary predictors of performance in the public sector. Management practices serve as key instruments to enhance workplace engagement. This study aimed to test the impact of three management practices - project continuity, performance evaluation, and results-based promotion - on the work engagement of federal public servants. To achieve this, an intra-subject experiment was conducted. The results revealed that project continuity exerted the strongest positive impact on engagement, while performance evaluation had a negative effect. When combined, results-based promotion and project continuity emerged as the most effective strategies for bolstering public servants' work engagement.
