The Epistemic Rationality of Research Groups

This article reflects on the epistemic rationality of research groups (RG) insofar as they develop socio-cognitive skills that are indispensable in the process of constructing and reconstructing knowledge in the sciences and humanities through criticism, inter pretation, and epistemic thinking. It analyzes the assumption of paradigms and models which are basis of cognition and through which groups manifest their vocation for in tersubjectively validated truth, which are constituted as explanatory and comprehensive theories in science and the humanities with the aim of solving problems, predicting, and transforming the natural and social reality that impacts and challenges us.
