Pompeya. Usos diversos de las ánforas en la Via degli Augustali y su entorno en los contextos del 79 d.C.

This study examines six amphora assemblages discovered in Pompeii and dated to 79 AD. All were located in the area northeast of the forum, between Via della Fortuna to the north and Via degli Augustali to the south. At the time of the eruption of Vesuvius, each assemblage served a distinct purpose, illustrating the diverse roles that amphorae played in everyday Roman life. Moreover, the range of typologies, origins, and contents represented by these amphorae reflects the vibrant commercial activity that characterised a city like Pompeii.
