Abstract

Herein, we report an improved, microwave‐assisted protocol towards 2‐iodoglycals. The procedure itself is efficient, easy to reproduce and might be transferred onto challenging examples of glycals, such as trisaccharide derivatives or analogues of antidiabetic acarbose allowing the synthesis of their 2‐iodoanalogues in few minutes.
