Abstract
This paper presents the study of a 1kV</i> DC/AC unipolar converter designed to drive piezoelectric actuators with a precise time response of 1ms</i>, used in a hydraulic system. The selected topology includes a PWM current control to adjust the time response and enables energy recovery from the actuator. This paper presents a detailed analysis, design, and control strategy of the proposed topology. Simulation and experimental results are also included in this work to evaluate time response accuracy, alongside efficiency measurements and loss estimation of the DC/AC converter. The experimental results demonstrate a time response adjustment accuracy of 96.52%(corresponding to 1.036ms</i>), with loss estimation accuracy of 99.04%.
