Abstract
Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a rare and aggressive malignancy primarily caused by asbestos exposure. Over the past decade, treatment strategies have evolved significantly, incorporating advancements in systemic therapies, immunotherapy, and personalized medicine. Multimodality treatment — integrating surgery, systemic therapy, and radiotherapy — may improve outcomes in carefully selected patients. This manuscript provides an overview of current treatment modalities for pleural mesothelioma (PM), emphasizing recent developments and emerging therapies.
