Disruption in the Public Forum: Conduct Policies In Public Law Libraries

In an increasingly fraught political environment, law libraries have been put in compromising situations as they seek to maintain a peaceful environment. The most effective and neutral means of dealing with these disturbances is to already have in place a written behavior/conduct policy. This article lays out the legal guidelines a library must consider regarding their behavior policies, surveys the current landscape of behavior policies among public academic law libraries, and makes recommendations for institutions in creating or revisiting their behavior policies.
