Experience in Providing Emergency Care for Myocardial Infarction in Armenia

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide, and an effective cardiology service infrastructure is essential to improve patient outcomes [1].In Armenia, 51% of all deaths are caused by CVD, the majority of which result from acute coronary syndromes (ACS).However, Armenia has made significant progress in organizing cardiology care and implementing national programs to reduce mortality from ACS.This paper provides an overview of the current cardiology service structure, highlights achievements of national revascularization programs, and discusses existing challenges and prospects.Over the past decade, Armenia has made notable progress in organizing cardiology care, including the implementation of national programs to reduce mortality from ACS.This paper provides an overview of the current structure of cardiology services in Armenia, highlights the achievements of national revascularization initiatives, and discusses existing challenges and future perspectives for improving cardiovascular care delivery.
