Abstract
It is known that the development of the ducts of the reproductive and urinary organs originates from the mesoderm and in the early stages of embryogenesis is a unified process. Clear cell ovarian carcinoma (CCOC) and clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) have a similar histological pattern and aggressive course. Ovarian cancer is the eighth most common malignant neoplasm in women all over the world. Clear cell (mesonephroid) ovarian carcinoma is a rare histological variant of tumors, which accounts for about 5% of all ovarian neoplasms. Clear cell renal cell carcinoma is the most common histological variant of tumors of this localization, accounting for 80-85% of all kidney neoplasms and it is most often among men. In this article, based on modern international and national researches, evaluates the diagnostic value of immunohistochemical markers such as HNF1B, Napsin A, IMP3, CD10, SR-B1, PAX-8, CAIX, AMACR. The aim of this study is to find similarities and differences between these tumors, as well as to explore the potential use of immunohistochemical markers in the differential diagnosis of these diseases, especially in difficult clinical situations - when it is necessary to examine women in order to exclude metastatic lesions.
