Abstract
Abstract Ceramic pellets of Na1-xKxNbO3 (0.25 ≤ x ≤ 0.35) were synthesized by the solid-state reaction method to explore their piezoelectric potential near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB). P–E hysteresis, strain, remnant polarization, coercive field, and converse piezoelectric coefficient (d*33) were measured for all compositions (x). Hysteresis loop confirm the ferroelectric nature of the samples, with remnant polarization values ranging from 2.6 to 10.24 µC/cm2, coercive fields of 9 to 13 kV/cm, and converse piezoelectric coefficients (d*33) of 40 to 226 pm/V, demonstrating the piezoelectric properties of the samples. X-ray diffraction analysis shows structural evolution with increasing potassium content.
