Abstract
Using progressively refined methodology, this study estimated the number and cost of incident antimicrobial resistant gonococcal (AR GC) infections during 2018–2023. An estimated 787,000 incident AR GC infections in persons aged 15–39 years occurred in 2023, with lifetime costs of $214.5M and 80% of costs attributable to infections in women.
