Abstract
The ‘exposome’ represents the cumulative measure of all environmental exposures an individual encounters from conception through life. In this backdrop, the discipline of ‘exposomics’ aims to systematically delve into the entire matrix of environmental factors dictating health throughout life, coalescing external exposures (e.g., pollutants, diet, lifestyle, psychosocial stressors) with the body's internal biological responses (e.g., alterations in gene expression, protein profiles, metabolic pathways, often via multi-omics technologies) [1]. This comprehensive concept, extending beyond conventional toxicology, covers multidimensional factors that dynamically interact to form a unique ‘exposome fingerprint’ for every individual.
