Abstract

This article presents an interview with Puspita, a sex worker from Sonagachi, Kolkata, who transitioned from street-based work to online sex work during the pandemic lockdown. Through her lived experiences, the article explores the transition, platform censorship, financial instability, client behaviour, and digital inequalities in the global porn industry. The article concludes by underscoring some urgent interventions. The author translated the interview from vernacular into English. It is an academically relevant outcome of a project of listening to sex workers.
