Abstract

Kuribara et al. present a novel and clinically relevant observation regarding the dynamics of the white opaque substance (WOS) in superficial non-ampullary duodenal epithelial tumors (SNADETs) [1]. By systematically analyzing serial endoscopic examinations obtained before treatment, they suggest that the conventional assumption that WOS represents a static endoscopic feature may not be definitive, offering new insights into its diagnostic interpretation.
