The prevalence of eyelid disorders varies worldwide but there is limited literature regarding this context in Nepal. So, the aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of eyelid disorders among the patients attending Ophthalmology department of a tertiary hospital in Nepal. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted in Ophthalmology out-patient department of a tertiary care hospital for one year. Eyelid examination was performed in details to identify any eyelid disorder. Results: While serving 21,320 patients in Ophthalmology OPD, there were 482 patients of eyelid disorders, marking the prevalence of eyelid disorders as 2.26%. There were 301 (62.45%) females and 181 (37.55%) males among the study cohort. Among eyelid disorders eyelid mass was observed in 116 (24.07%), blepharitis in 100 (20.75%) and dermatochalasis 82 (17.01%) patients. Eyelid disorders observed among the pediatric age group was 29 (6.02 %).
