Abstract
Previous studies have shown that various seed nanopriming treatments significantly enhance seed quality, promote plant growth and stress tolerance, and thereby contribute to sustainable agriculture. However, there is insufficient information about the impact of nanomaterial on cucumber seed quality and their optimal concentration for seed priming. Here, we demonstrated that the tested nanomaterial (Nanoplant Start®) had an advantageous impact on cucumber germination and initial growth, indicating its potential as a nanopriming agent. The optimal concentration was 2.0 mL L -1 with the most significant impact on seed germination and early growth of cucumber cultivars.
