Abstract

An extremely sensitive prism-based plasmonic sensor is theoretically analyzed. The sensor is developed by using indium tin oxide and titanium dioxide layers. An angular interrogation scheme is used for analyzing the sensor. The influence of ITO and TiO2 layer thicknesses has been studied in detail. Plasmonic sensor based on 35 nm thick ITO-5 nm thick TiO2 layers exhibits the maximum sensitivity and FOM of 170 deg/RIU and 14.5 RIU−1, respectively.
