Abstract
Figure 1 presents the cumulative risk of developing cancer for 7 countries in different world regions by sex. The risk of cancer up to age 50 is 1.5 to 2.5 times higher in women than in men in all countries, whereas the inverse is true when the risk is extended to ages up to 75; the lifetime risk of cancer incidence in men is consistently (albeit moderately) higher than in women in all countries other than Kenya, where risk of cancer incidence is higher in women in both age groups.
