Abstract

Cerebral hemorrhage has a high rate of death and disability, in which hematoma enlargement is one of the major risk factors leading to poor prognosis of patients with cerebral hemorrhage. In this review, we summarize the recent studies about the predictors of hematoma enlargement from multiple dimensions including imaging characteristics, laboratory tests, clinical examination indexes, medications, lifestyle factors, comprehensive scoring algorithms and machine learning models, which provides an all-round understanding about early prediction of hematoma enlargement in patients with cerebral hemorrhage in the future.
