CONTRIBUTO E INFLUENZA DELL’ITALIANO NEI TESTI PER LO STUDIO DELL’ALBANESE – IL CASO DI GASPER BENUSSI E DELLE SUE PUBBLICAZIONI

This paper focuses on Gasper Benussi’s work, one of the central figures in Albanian language education at the end of the 19th century. Through his bilingual publications, such as Abetare gjuhës shqype (1890) and Ushtrime gjuhës shqype e italisht (1911), Benussi promoted literacy in native language and Albanian - Italian bilingualism. The work aims to highlight how his works provided linguistic, moral and civic education to young learners. Thanks to a practical approach and the use of everyday vocabulary, Benussi’s texts became fundamental tools for introducing written Albanian. The paper also aims to underline the influence of Italian language on Albanian.
