Abstract

ABSTRACT A methodological amalgamation of carbon fibers and special quality polymer compounds gives birth to a strong yet lightweight material called Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer. Other than in its base form, any blending of other elements into Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer composites yields a different material with versatile utility value. In similar vein, carbon nanotubes when combined with Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer composites as well as with other related compounds result in very efficient materials. As a consequence, products obtained from such associations have become ubiquitous. Their properties and strengths, the manufacturing methods, along with the various applications in plethora industries are comprehensively discussed. A compilation of other researches related to these materials is briefed. These innovative composites are adjudged ideal for countless number of appliances and applications ranging from defense, solar panels and construction, electrical, marine, automotive, and aviation industries. Presently, the utilization of such products with special properties becomes indispensable. A critical review on the different perspectives of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composites and carbon nanotube together with an extensive exploration of the synthesis of carbon nanotubes and carbon-fiber composites is endeavored. Also, this review may serve as a guide to learn and explore about these modern-day industrial materials in a nutshell. GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT
