Abstract

The article delves into mission and vision statements and exposes them from economic and linguistic perspectives. Mission and vision statements are complex forms of communication that link the external and internal realities of organisations, shape companies’ personality, create their identity and instil inspiration. The practical part of the study describes how generous of a field these documents can represent from a linguistic angle. We conclude that mission and vision statements deserve a more visible place in the inventory of internal and external communication tools, as they carry the marks of morphologically, syntactically, semantically and stylistically challenging constructions.
