[N-of-1 trials forstatin intolerance : feasibility in clinical practice].

N-of-1 trials allow for an individualized assessment of statin tolerance in patients reporting adverse effects. This article presents six patients in whom these tests showed no significant difference between the statin and the comparator, suggesting a nocebo effect. All patients chose to resume treatment. These rigorous, personalized, controlled therapeutic tests enhanced treatment adherence. Despite their high level of evidence, they remain underused. This case series illustrates their feasibility in clinical practice and their value in optimizing patient management.
