[Multidisciplinary management of elderly patients with advanced prostate cancer].

The percentage of older patients with prostate cancer is increasing progressively. This population requires specific and specialized, and at the same time, multidisciplinary management. This paper summarizes the scientific evidence available on the therapeutic management of prostate neoplasia in these patients, with the participation of the different specialists involved in this management: urologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine specialists, geriatricians and medical oncologists. Data are presented on the use of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, radioligands, targeted therapies, and radiotherapy, as well as the most common geriatric conditions in these patients and how to manage them in a specialized manner.
