Abstract

This study examines mass production of Volcanic Glass Powder (VGP). The roller mill’s table size expanded from 15cm to 36cm, falling short at 30kg/h despite a theoretical 44.5kg/h, needing optimization for efficiency. Classification tests found 240kg/h optimal, estimating 0.4 million tons annually with 1-2 machines. Lab tests increased input to 200kg/h, achieving 12kg/h via cyclone classification, indicating feasible production with smaller mills. JIS standards showed SiO2 and Los on ignition issues yet met surface area and activity index standards. This contributes to the establishment of efficient VGP production technology, highlighting potential for low-carbon society advancement.
