EFFICIENCY OF MULTIPLE DISTILLATION OR CRYSTALLIZATION REFINING: ECONOMIC ASPECT

The expediency of using Фn was noted. To assess the efficiency of n-fold refining of a substance by simple distillation or normal directional crystallization, taking into account the costs of carrying out the process, it is proposed to use a special criterion Фn = G/n(Cn/C0) where C0 and Cn are the initial and final concentration of the impurity, G is the process yield. The influence of the refining parameters (separation coefficient and number n) on the position of the maximum of the Фn(G) dependence is noted.
