Abstract

In the paper the physicochemical properties of the two-phase system PVP-C6O7H5Na3 − H2O are studied and the molecular aspects of phase separation in this system were investigated. In order to show that the water structure has a decisive role, the effect of external factors and some additives on the binodal curves of the system is considered. When studying the effect of the molecular mass of the polymer on the phase separation process, it was found that as the molecular weight of the polymer increases, the phase separation process accelerates, in other words, a two-phase system is obtained at lower concentrations of the phase-forming components
