Abstract
The paper reviews the prospects of developing universal rotating cutting tools of Russian production for the surgical stage of dental implantation in patients with toothlessness in various clinical settings. The advantages and disadvantages of the available dental implantation techniques, as well as methods for the formation of the dental implant bed, are noted. As the most promising type of universal rotary cutting tool, a cutting tool has been identified that allows forming the dental implant bed according to the classical protocol and, additionally, if necessary, compacting bone tissue and/or expanding the outer walls along the periphery and towards the bottom of the dental implant bed. Surface modification and improvement of the physical and mechanical properties of the designated cutting tool are possible using physical vacuum deposition technology.
