Abstract
The geographical proximity of the countries of the Baltic Sea region fosters numerous linguistic and cultural contacts between their inhabitants. In particular, Germany is a popular migration destination for Poles, but it is also from there that Polish migrants often return to Poland, facing many challenges as a result. These challenges include, among other things, the education of the youngest generation. This article aims to present return migration from Germany to Poland in the context of the child’s education from the perspective of the parents and the student herself. The study is based on in-depth interviews with the parents and the child. The selected case, exemplary in nature, presents successful (re)adaptation in a Polish school and the Polish environment.
