Abstract
ABSTRACT As part of a trend toward multidisciplinary engagement, today’s music library workers may find the scope of their positions extended beyond a single subject specialization and into a multifaceted set of responsibilities. The authors situate this scenario within the changing context of music-focused library positions and provide suggested strategies and tools for supporting library users in non-music fields. By drawing on transferable skills, developing basic understandings of non-music disciplines, and remaining mindful of personal capacity and available resources, music library workers can leverage their knowledge and experience to support a broad range of areas of study.
