ABSTRACT This essay analyzes the challenges presented by the distortion of information integrity in digital ecosystems and its contributions to the erosion of democratic norms. Additionally, it overviews some of the methods embraced by civil society groups to evidence these challenges, and presents ideas related to the collaborative avenues available for technology companies, digital governance professionals, and government institutions to safeguard information quality and integrity now and into the future.
