Abstract
This study aimed to develop porous biochar from tobacco straw for furfuryl alcohol adsorption. Biochar was prepared via pyrolysis and modified with HNO3/KOH, with the 600℃ KOH-modified condition (TSB-KOH) exhibiting optimal performance: a specific surface area of 1387.18 m 2 /g and an equilibrium adsorption capacity of 207.51 mg/g within 9 h. The material also demonstrated temperature stability and sustained release potential, supporting high-value utilization of tobacco straw.
