Abstract

I consider 2026 to be a meaningful year for further broadening the scope of our journal's mission.I was reappointed last year for my third term; I am now entering my fifth year as the Editor-in-Chief.During my first four years, I devoted myself to enhancing the credibility and impact of the journal, primarily focusing on robust journal metrics and aligning the journal with Open Science principles [1].Owing to the collective efforts of our Editorial Board, JPR achieved a Journal Impact Factor of 3.4 (Journal Citation Reports TM
