Primeras comunidades protestantes en Sinaloa, México: movilidad y relaciones transfronterizas

This article analyzes the patterns of origin and settlement of early protestant communities in northwestern Mexico, with particular focus on the state of Sinaloa. In this region, cross-border mobility and the evolving relationship between the United States and Mexico—from the late Porfiriato through the post-revolutionary governments—played a decisive role. The study adopts a cultural history approach in critical dialogue with transnational migration perspectives and draws on a wide range of documentary sources to identify the strategies employed by these communities as they integrated into northwestern societies and contributed to the formation of networks through which people, religious discourses, and life experiences circulated.
