La valorisation catalytique de la liqueur noire pour l’industrie chimique

(Text in French) Catalytic valorization of black liquor for the chemical industry. Paper mills have been part of the industrial landscape for decades. As well as producing pulp for the manufacture of paper and cardboard, they generate a liquid residue known as black liquor, which contains lignin, an aromatic biopolymer, and numerous aliphatic compounds. This article presents some examples of catalytic processes developed to valorize the compounds in black liquor.
