Abstract

Women entrepreneurship is the practice of women starting and running businesses. In India, women-led businesses make up 14% of all enterprises and employ 30% of the country's female workforce. They are also expected to create 150-170 million jobs by 2030. Government of India has also emphasised on women entrepreneurships in the seventh and eighth five-year plan. This paper aims to investigate the scholarly literatures on the growth, trend and opportunities on women entrepreneurship. We have used bibliometric in order to analyse the existing literature using 257 papers taken from the Scopus and WoS database published between 1997 and 2023. This research provides valuable insights and strategies tailored to the specific needs and constraints of Indian organisations, contributing to enhanced knowledge sharing and overall performance across industries. To understand the potential benefits and challenges better, further research is essential to explore the Women Entrepreneurship in different sectors.
