On that Tree and Rock Again: Hesiod´s THEOGONY, line 35

This paper addresses contentious line 35 of Hesiod’s Theogony. It is fair to say that there is no scholarly agreement regarding the denotation of line 35. I first consider various previous interpretations and examine important archaic hexametric comparanda. Thereafter, I provide a new interpretation of line 35.
